Adaptive driving of arrays
Using an Adaptive system, when should an array be driven adaptively or uniformly?
The selection to choose if an array is driven Adaptively or Uniformly only comes into play when an array consists of more than 1 column.
Driving a system Adaptively will balance the outputs of the columns within an array so they all produce equivalent SPL across their coverage areas.
This essentially means if there are differences in column length in a given array (a column is longer or shorter than its neighbors in the array), the larger column’s output will be reduced to match the output of the smaller column.
