EEE on 'Dumb' Switches and Dante Issues
EEE on 'dumb' switches can kill the clock. The feature disables the port during low data transmission. This causes the clocks to lose sync even if they are connected.
Non managed switches can be used when they are the only switch. If you have two or more, that's going to require at least a 'smart' switch where you can turn off IGMP snooping and EEE.
